The camera does not record the movement.
It joins it.

I'm a photographer and filmmaker in Amsterdam. I have been making pictures since 1997.
I work with movement — dancers, people crossing a city, buildings coming down. After years alongside choreographers I stopped filming dance from outside it. The camera takes the part of a dancer: it moves with the performers and sees from inside the phrase.
The rest of the work is quieter. A storefront, a corner, a gesture, a building photographed before it goes. Cities change fast, and some of these pictures are now the only record of a place.
Available for commissions.
